Alison Hattam
Having graduated from Middlesex University in 1986 with a degree in Law, Alison returned to Sheffield to work in financial services but she had a long term ambition to become involved in the deaf community and after a period of intensive training became an accomplished sign language interpreter. This led her to rewarding work interpreting for deaf students at the University as well as having the opportunity to help families with deaf children learn to communicate and adapt in a role based at Sheffield Children's Hospital. Her sign language skills are still utilized as she interprets the services at St Thomas Church on a regular basis. Alison is also a school governor which she finds stimulating and interesting.
Alison has become increasingly involved in the practice as it has grown and now shares in the day to day administrative and managerial duties.
