Julie Wilkinson (MCSP)
Chartered Physiotherapist
Julie trained in Sheffield and graduated in 2000. Her first job was at Barnsley District General Hospital where she gained experience in a wide range of specialities before travelling to Australia for three months for a mini career break! In 2002 Julie moved to Newcastle where she worked within an occupational health setting and in private practice treating a wide spectrum of disorders, including sports injuries and work-related musculoskeletal problems.
More recently Julie has settled in Sheffield and she joined the practice in December 2005. Julie specialises in treating musculoskeletal disorders and is also qualified to administer acupuncture. Click here to find out more about this service.
Two specific areas of interest to Julie are Pilates and Occupational Health. She is a fully qualified Pilates instructor with the Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute (APPI) and runs Pilates classes here at The Physios. Click here to find out more about our classes. Julie is also a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health & Ergonomics (ACPOHE) and spends time treating patients in their workplace and carrying out Display Screen Equipment and work place assessments. Julie and her partner very much consider Sheffield to be ‘home’. “My spare time at the moment is spent doing DIY (unfortunately) but I also enjoy doing Pilates and going to the gym” says Julie.
