About Us - The Practice

Paul Hattam established the practice in 1993, treating patients from home on a part-time basis whilst continuing to work within the NHS. The practice flourished and in 1996 the move to Taptonville House provided more consulting room space and a full-time reception. 

Since then, the practice has enjoyed an enviable reputation among patients and doctors for expert and accurate assessment, diagnosis and treatment. In addition to this, our commitment to post-graduate training has resulted in regular courses for physiotherapists and doctors. Professional development within the practice has always been a priority and the team meets regularly for training as well as attending external courses elsewhere. Paul has also involved the practice in a number of high profile research projects such as UK BEAM (1999) and WorkCare (2004/5) as well as undertaking his own research.

Our team of physiotherapists specialise in the full spectrum of musculoskeletal disorders and each clinician brings their individual experience and expertise to the practice.
