FAQ's

How do I change my appointment?

If you need to change or cancel you appointment - that’s fine. We just ask that you give us a minimum of 24 hrs notice of any changes to your appointment so that we can re-allocate the appointment. Less than 24 hours notice may result in a charge.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

Usually no - you can just book in, come for treatment and get better! However if you have health insurance with Westfield or any other private health insurer (e.g. Bupa, Axa PPP, Aviva, etc) you will need a referral from your GP before your treatment can be authorised. It is best if you contact your insurer before making an appointment so you can be sure of their policy.

Are The Physios registered with all health insurance companies (e.g. BUPA, Westfield etc)?

Yes, we are recognised by all private health insurers. If you need any of our physiotherapists HPC (Health Profession Council) numbers or our BUPA clinic number please call us and we will happily give you this information.

What are the consultation fees?

Initial (assessment and treatment) consultation £45.00
Treatment £38.50
Reduced rates are available for students – please call us for more information.

When do I pay?

Pay as you go: If you are paying for treatment yourself or claiming the cost of your treatment back from your health insurer (i.e. Westfield Health or HSA) you will be asked to pay at the end of each treatment session.

Direct settlement: Many private health insurance companies will settle the cost of treatment directly with the clinic. You will need to provide us with your policy and authorisation numbers and we’ll sort the rest out with your insurer.

What is access like at your clinics?

If you have mobility problems you can access the practice very easily as we have ground floor consulting rooms within a few metres of our entrance at both sites. There is wheelchair access. For the more able bodied, our other consulting space is upstairs. If stairs are a struggle please advise the receptionist at the time of making your appointment and we’ll arrange to see you in one of our ground floor consulting rooms.

Do I need to bring anything with me to my appointment?

Not really, just yourself! If you can, wear something you are comfortable in or bring something to change into. You are welcome to bring a friend or family member with you to your treatment.
