Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Assessments A DSE assessment can be arranged in your workplace or home office. You’ll be visited by our Chartered Occupational Health Physiotherapist & Ergonomist, Julie Wilkinson (click here for more information regarding Julie’s experience) who will use her in-depth knowledge of the human anatomy and movement to assess your current workplace and your work needs. Throughout the process we can assure you of a designated administration support contact so that organising your DSE assessment is hassle-free. Pre-employment and return to work assessments can also be arranged.
This is what you can expect from our DSE assessment service:
- A pre-assessment questionnaire – so that our assessor has some idea about your condition and situation prior to the assessment
- A one-on-one consultation at your workplace or home office (this usually lasts around an hour). The consultation will cover:
- Your past medical history to identify any previous conditions which may still be impacting on you now
- A discussion on your common work tasks, daily work routine, etc
- A physical assessment of your posture, visual display unit, keyboard, work station design, work place environment, etc
- Verbal coaching – the assessor will give you practical demonstrations and tips throughout the consultation so that you can look to make changes and benefit from the assessment IMMEDIATELY
- Following the assessment we’ll provide you with:
- A written report of recommendations which complies with Health & Safety requirements
- A list of any specialist equipment the assessor recommends with options in regard to brand and price (we’ll also order any equipment on your behalf if that’s easier for you)
