Kate took a complete career change after having her children, and graduated as a physiotherapist from Hallam University in 1995. She started specialising in Women's Health in 1997, working at the Northern General Hospital initially and then at the old Jessop Hospital, before moving into the new Jessop's when it opened in 2001. She completed a specialist course at Bradford University to become a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Women's Health in 2002. Kate continues to works at the Jessop Hospital and also in the community. She is currently involved with a consultant led research project into the treatment of pelvic floor muscle weakness. In her spare time Kate enjoys fell running, vegetable gardening and singing with the Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus.
