What is Ergonomics?

The term ‘ergonomics’ is derived from two Greek words – ‘ergon’ (meaning work) and ‘nomoi’ (meaning natural laws). Ergonomists study human capabilities in relationship to work demands.

Some people 'bend over backwards' (not literally usually) to get their work done but habitual bad posture or incorrect office furniture may well lead to musculoskeletal strain and the gradual onset of discomfort and pain - that's not to mention the hours at home working on the computer or slouched on the settee watching telly.  The Physios are trained to spot potential problems and advise you on ways of minimising the problem.
