Taping & Strapping
Taping and strapping techniques are commonly used by physiotherapists to provide restraint to movement and support around a healing tissue or joint and/or to provide some biofeedback (a means to help gain control of movement by correct positioning and activation of muscles) to assist with restoration of normal function. Ankle, knee, shoulder and elbow strapping techniques are most commonly used in sports/dance for the prevention and protection of sports injuries.
